All sled crafts must be no wider than 4 feet across and constructed solely of cardboard, duck tape, string, glue, garbage bags and paper. (If wood, metal, fiberglass, plastic, etc. is used sled will be disqualified.)
Helmets are mandatory and individuals must be dressed in clothing appropriate for weather. Each participant must sign the waiver on the entry form, for participants younger than 18 years of age, a parent or guardian signature will be required.
Family, business, sponsor names may be displayed on the sled; inappropriate sponsors, slogans, names and graphics will result in immediate disqualification.
Any sled considered potentially unsafe for participants and/or spectators will be disqualified prior to the start of the event.
This is not a timed/speed race. Judges will rate each sled for originality, costumes, design, and construction. To be eligible to win, sleds must complete one run to the bottom of the hill; judges' decision is final. Categories are: 1st Place; Best Theme; Most Colorful; Most Creative; Traveling Business Trophy; and FCS “People’s” Choice Spirit Award.
Fee and signed waivers must accompany entry form.
Sled themes, costumes, and enthusiasm are strongly recommended.
